Software Engineer (AI Native)

Lightspeed Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Product Development team in Austin, Texas. This hybrid role focuses on designing and implementing scalable cloud services, building APIs, and leveraging AI agents to enhance the development workflow, including coding, testing, and debugging. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience with cloud-based applications, microservices, APIs, databases, and Docker, with a strong emphasis on engineering judgment and the ability to effectively integrate AI tools into their development process.

• Design and implement scalable cloud services
• Utilize AI agents for coding, testing, and debugging
• Build and maintain APIs and service integrations
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and Docker
• 3-6 years of experience shipping production software
