About this role

Cisco is seeking a customer-facing Software Engineer in Japan to act as a technical liaison between Japanese enterprise customers and the engineering team. This role involves troubleshooting security products, translating technical information between Japanese and English, and advocating for customer needs.

What we are looking for

Own L2/L3 troubleshooting on VPN, zero trust, web inspection, CASB, DLP, firewall policy, and AWS/Kubernetes connectivity
Collect and analyze logs, packet captures, and metrics
Support packet capture and basic packet analysis
Run scripted health checks using Bash/Python
Assist with upgrades and migrations
Fluent Japanese and English for technical communication
