About this role

Leidos is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Albuquerque, NM to drive software development for applied R&D projects involving electro-mechanical-optical experiments. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and government researchers, taking ownership of software for testbed control, data acquisition, and optical tracking, while also mentoring junior engineers.

Develop real-time and embedded software for electro-optical and sensor equipment
Create data acquisition, reduction, and analysis tools with operator interfaces
Drive improvements in software test, validation, and DevOps practices
Mentor junior engineers and communicate technical progress to government customers
