About this role

Nelnet is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications, working across the full stack. This role involves integrating large language models into AI-centric applications and optimizing performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure management.

What we are looking for

Design and develop responsive web applications using Typescript and NextJS
Build and maintain APIs and backend services using Python and Rust
Integrate large language models into AI-centric applications
Manage and provision infrastructure on AWS using Terraform
Deploy and manage applications using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers
