Software Engineer, Motion Controls & Manufacturing Automation

Blue Origin is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and control custom manufacturing hardware for advanced metal additive manufacturing processes. This role involves software architecture, embedded systems, and motion control to enable reliable and scalable manufacturing for spaceflight. You will write code to drive physical hardware and build data infrastructure connecting machine execution to facility-level decisions.

• Develop C++ software for 2D/3D path/geometry generation to drive machine motion
• Design, build, and integrate motion control systems for custom metal 3D printers
• Develop software for machine and facility level manufacturing process control
• Architect and implement embedded system software for data acquisition and control
• Build automated data integrations and workflows for manufacturing data access
• Identify and drive opportunities for improved reliability, efficiency, and automation
