About this role
Inversion is seeking an Autonomy Engineer Intern to implement, test, and verify vehicle flight sequencing and autonomy logic. This role involves working with senior engineers on simulations and debugging to ensure safe flight operations for advanced reentry systems.
What we are looking for
6- Implement and test vehicle-level state machines, flight sequencing, and mission autonomy routines in C++/Rust
- Support development and verification of fault detection, isolation, and recovery (FDIR) software modules
- Run and evaluate software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations
- Write comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and automated test scripts
- Analyze telemetry and log files to troubleshoot software anomalies
- Collaborate with systems, GNC, and avionics engineers
