Staff Software Engineer - Platform, Application Core Services | USA | Remote

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Application Core Services team. This role focuses on building and operating the control plane for Grafana Cloud, designing systems for creating, configuring, and managing thousands of customer environments. You will work on complex distributed systems challenges related to reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.

• Design and build distributed backend systems for customer stack consistency
• Develop reconciliation and automation workflows for reliability and operational efficiency
• Lead technical initiatives across multiple services and partner with Product and Infrastructure teams
• Improve deployment workflows, regional expansion, and incident recovery
• Own production systems including observability, tooling, and on-call responsibilities
• Contribute to a remote-first, open-source company culture
