Software Engineer, Maps Infra

Aurora Innovation is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Mapping team in Pittsburgh, PA. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure and data processing pipelines for the Aurora Atlas, a critical system for self-driving technology. This role involves working with distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and collaborating with various teams to ensure system stability and scalability.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure and data processing pipelines
• Ensure stability and scalability of the Atlas system through testing and performance optimization
• Partner with internal and external customers to influence designs and features
• Expert proficiency in C++ and experience with distributed systems
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies like AWS and Kubernetes
• Experience with geospatial data, mapping systems, or high-throughput data pipelines is a plus
