Sr. Backend Software Engineer (Video Engineering)

Philo is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their Video Engineering team. This role is critical for building and optimizing the next generation of their video streaming pipeline, impacting every video stream served to users. You will design, implement, and deploy scalable and resilient systems for video ingest, transcoding, and delivery, collaborating with various teams to enhance the user viewing experience.

• Design, implement, and deploy next-generation video streaming pipeline
• Build scalable and resilient data pipelines for video ingest and analytics
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize video delivery and user experience
• Drive improvements in reliability, performance, latency, and security
• Evaluate and select video encoding technologies
• Assist client engineering teams in improving video streaming QoE
