About this role

Capital One Travel is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to build a brand-new, greenfield product area within their fastest-growing credit card travel portal. This role offers true technical ownership, allowing you to design and ship high-impact systems from scratch using AI-native development tools. You will work on a small, entrepreneurial team, partnering with product and design to define the technical foundation for a multi-billion-dollar market operation.

What we are looking for

Build new customer-facing products and platform services from the ground up
Utilize AI tooling to prototype, generate, test, and ship features at 10x speed
Partner with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions
Lead a portfolio of fast-moving projects and set the engineering bar for a new team
Make pragmatic architecture decisions for scalable and reliable systems
Utilize JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Node, HTML/CSS, and Java
