Senior Software Engineer - Safety Processing

Discord is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Safety Processing team, focusing on building systems to detect, review, and enforce harmful content at scale. This role involves taking ownership of complex projects from design to iteration, working on large-scale distributed systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user safety.

• Own complex safety infrastructure projects end-to-end
• Build and maintain critical systems for automated content review at massive scale
• Apply an adversarial mindset to protect users from abuse scenarios
• Collaborate with Trust & Safety, ML, Policy, and product teams
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python
• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
