Lead Software Engineer

Humana is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to guide the design, development, and delivery of enterprise APIs, GraphQL services, and microservices. You will provide technical leadership, ensure solutions are secure and scalable, and partner with various teams to deliver high-quality platform capabilities, including those for emerging AI use cases.

• Lead design, development, and implementation of enterprise APIs, GraphQL services, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven capabilities
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture discussions, design reviews, coding, and mentoring
• Guide API design decisions across REST and GraphQL patterns
• Drive sprint execution and delivery accountability
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders to evaluate requirements and assess technical feasibility
• Establish and promote engineering best practices for API design, governance, security, and operational excellence
