Software Engineer, Maps Infra

Aurora is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Mapping team and develop scalable backend infrastructure for their Aurora Atlas mapping system. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data processing pipelines and ensuring system stability and performance. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence future designs and features.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure and data processing pipelines
• Ensure stability and scalability of the Atlas system through robust testing and performance optimization
• Partner closely with internal and external customers to influence designs and features
• Expert proficiency in C++ and strong understanding of distributed systems principles
• Experience with cloud-native technologies like AWS and Kubernetes
• Experience with geospatial data, mapping systems, or high-throughput data pipelines is desirable
