Senior Software Engineer, Safety Backend

Discord is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain critical safety infrastructure. You will own complex projects end-to-end, applying an adversarial mindset to ensure platform safety at massive scale. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and participating in on-call rotations.

• Own complex safety infrastructure projects end-to-end
• Build and maintain production systems at massive scale
• Apply an adversarial mindset to security, abuse, and scalability concerns
• Collaborate with Trust & Safety, ML, Policy, and product teams
• 5+ years of backend services and/or infrastructure experience
• Strong programming skills in Python, Rust, or TypeScript
