Principal Engineer Motion Planning

Motional is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the research and development of motion planning and control systems for autonomous vehicles. This role involves defining algorithms, architecting complex systems, and building robust software for safe and efficient fleet operation. You will contribute to expanding the operational design domain and mentor team members in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

• Lead research and development of novel motion planning algorithms
• Expand Operational Design Domain for autonomous driving
• Architect and integrate motion planning and prediction algorithms
• Design and build robust, scalable, high-performance codebase
• Guide and mentor junior and senior team members
• Contribute to production-ready autonomous vehicles
