About this role

TrendAI is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build and enhance Trend Vision One Internet Access, a secure web gateway that inspects and secures enterprise internet traffic. This hybrid role in Austin involves designing and implementing cloud proxy points of presence, on-premises gateways, and a cloud control plane, with a focus on AI security and advanced traffic inspection.

What we are looking for

Design and implement features for cloud proxy data path, control-plane microservices, and on-premises gateways
Own services end-to-end, including policy evaluation, traffic inspection, and identity management
Extend AI Secure Access coverage by analyzing and implementing detection for new AI services
Diagnose and resolve performance and correctness issues in live inspection paths
Contribute to an AI-augmented development pipeline, shaping autonomous development and human gating
Requires 5+ years of experience with backend systems, Go/Rust/C++, and deep networking fundamentals
