Senior Software Engineer

General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Manufacturing Data Engineering team. You will lead the integration with robotic devices and capture production data from global manufacturing plants, developing high-quality software applications for the plant-floor device data pipeline. This role involves full lifecycle application development, performance tuning, debugging, and mentoring junior developers.

• Own full lifecycle application development for interfacing with robots and plant-floor devices
• Develop high-quality software applications using industry-standard methodologies
• Perform performance tuning, profiling, and usability assessment
• Debug, maintain, and enhance live software systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across manufacturing, controls, and data teams
• Mentor junior software developers and review code
