Senior Software Engineer

Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Cat Central team. You will design, build, and maintain the service layer for a mobile-first platform, integrating with enterprise systems and powering a React Native mobile app. This role involves developing backend services using Node.js, implementing caching strategies, and deploying on AWS.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for a mobile-first platform
• Orchestrate data across enterprise systems including eCommerce, Salesforce, and payment processors
• Develop backend services using Node.js, Express, and OpenAPI
• Implement and optimize multi-tier Redis caching strategies
• Support deployment on AWS Lambda and ECS/Fargate
• Collaborate with mobile app engineers and architecture teams
