Senior Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Workstream is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This role involves developing and innovating cloud technology solutions for the hourly workforce, with a focus on building high-performance backend systems. The position is hybrid, requiring 2-4 days per week in the San Francisco office.

• Develop well-scoped product features in collaboration with product and engineering teams
• Advocate for and practice test-driven development (TDD)
• Build scalable backend systems with high availability
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Go, Node.js, or Python
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and AWS
• Design distributed systems with a holistic perspective
