Senior Software Engineer

Join Cisco's Distributed System Engineering group to develop next-generation networking systems, focusing on optical technologies like Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) within the SONiC network operating system. You will contribute to software development, integration, and system design, working at the intersection of hardware, optics, and software.

• Develop and improve software modules for SONiC optical subsystems
• Contribute to platform adaptation layers for hardware interfaces
• Implement drivers, APIs, and services for optics monitoring and management
• Support integration of CPO technologies into SONiC platforms
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams and engage with the SONiC open-source community
• Participate in CI/CD workflows and automation efforts
