Principal, Software Engineering (Adobe - Integrations & Automations)

DEPT® is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their North American architecture squad. This hands-on technical role focuses on modernizing middleware, building custom API connectors, and automating workflows within complex client environments. You will re-architect broken API paths and system integrations, moving extensions to serverless architectures for improved stability.

• Re-architect and fix broken API paths, custom service integrations, and data calls
• Shift custom system extensions from brittle codebase overrides to modern, serverless architectures
• Construct automated handoff hooks and workflow pipelines
• Design, build, and test robust webhook configurations and event-driven data transfer layers
• Collaborate with architects to secure end-to-end data pathways
• 6+ years of backend software engineering or systems integration experience
