About this role

Fiserv is seeking a senior Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable payment processing applications. This role involves end-to-end technical ownership, including coding, code reviews, architectural decisions, and operational support. You will collaborate with offshore teams, manage cloud environments, and ensure production readiness.

What we are looking for

Design, build, and enhance scalable, secure, high-performance payment processing applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST, and SQL/NoSQL
Own technical delivery end-to-end, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support
Lead day-to-day execution with offshore teams, aligning priorities and managing dependencies
Define and implement infrastructure-as-code for cloud resource management and safe deployments
Ensure environments remain pristine with predictable deployments and strong operational readiness
Integrate with Snowflake and Oracle, including writing and tuning SQL
