Senior Software Engineer

General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Compute Systems Software team in Warren, Michigan. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining the embedded software platform for SDV solutions, including drivers, operating systems, and BSPs for high-compute SoCs. You will work on safety-critical software development under ASIL standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build and manage a shared vehicle compute platform.

• Develop software on Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS
• Develop Linux software for device powering and activation
• Participate in full software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and power efficiency
• Contribute to safety-critical software development with ASIL standards
