About this role

PayPal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in San Jose, CA to develop and deliver a Wallet-as-a-Service platform. You will own system design, implement transaction processing, and ensure the reliability and scalability of live production systems across on-premises and cloud environments.

What we are looking for

Develop and deliver Wallet-as-a-Service platform
Own high-level end-to-end system design and low-level interface engineering
Implement value-added service capabilities including latency optimization and settlement processing
Maintain and operate live production systems in on-premises and public cloud environments
Provide technical support to internal teams and products
Experience with Java, SQL, and AWS
