Software Engineer 2

Onto Innovation is seeking a Junior Software Sustaining Engineer to support released semiconductor inspection and metrology products. This role involves troubleshooting customer issues, investigating defects, implementing software fixes, and assisting with product maintenance. You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to enhance software reliability and customer satisfaction.

• Investigate and resolve software defects
• Support customer escalations through troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Develop, test, and maintain production-quality software enhancements
• Assist in reproducing field issues
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Create and maintain unit tests and automated tests
