About this role

Tailscale is seeking a Software Engineer, AI Enablement to join a small, high-leverage team focused on integrating AI into the engineering workflow. You will build tools, workflows, and practices to help engineers develop faster and more safely using AI, with significant latitude to shape the AI enablement strategy.

What we are looking for

Define and drive internal AI-enablement roadmap
Build and iterate on tools for AI-assisted development
Evaluate new AI models and tools
Establish guardrails for AI-generated code safety
Track adoption and measure AI tooling impact
Partner with engineering leadership and technical staff
