About this role

The Hartford is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to modernize enterprise applications using Java, AWS, and GCP. This role involves partnering with various teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions, focusing on AWS infrastructure, GCP Vertex AI, and Java engineering. You will build GenAI and agentic AI solutions, develop Infrastructure as Code, and integrate DevOps practices.

Modernize enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and related frameworks
Lead AWS infrastructure standards and deployment practices
Build GenAI and agentic AI solutions with Vertex AI and GCP
Develop Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and Terraform
Integrate DevOps practices, automated testing, and monitoring
Mentor engineers and contribute to reusable patterns
