Principal Software Engineer - Distributed Systems - FreeWheel

Lead the reliability, performance, and operational excellence of FreeWheel's ad platforms by designing, operating, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. This role involves owning monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning, while also influencing architecture and driving automation initiatives.

• Own production reliability, availability, latency, and performance of large-scale systems
• Design and operate monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce operational toil and improve efficiency
• Partner with engineering teams to influence architecture and design decisions
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide escalation support
