Staff Software Engineer

Abbott is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to contribute to their Electrophysiology Division in St. Paul, MN. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying system and software architecture for medical devices, participating in all phases of the software lifecycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Design, develop, and document embedded software for diagnostic and interventional cardiology devices
• Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation, and testing
• Apply software design skills to meet performance requirements and quality system standards
• Create and implement software/test plans and generate test reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, RA, test engineers, and hardware engineers
• Make and justify critical technical decisions in product design
