Staff Software Engineer, Travel & Expense

Brex is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive technical direction and solve complex problems across their Travel & Expense domain. This leadership role, without direct reports, focuses on identifying and resolving cross-team technical challenges, raising the engineering bar, and mentoring other engineers.

• Identify and resolve high-impact technical problems across Travel & Expense domains
• Set and raise technical standards through design reviews and architecture decisions
• Partner with Staff Engineers and Engineering Managers to align technical direction
• Mentor senior engineers and improve team design and shipping processes
• Apply an AI-forward mindset to engineering practices
• Contribute to the group's technical strategy and inform leadership investments
