Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Remote)

Cisco Meraki is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their Time Series Data team in San Francisco. You will design, build, and maintain scalable distributed systems and data platforms that handle massive amounts of telemetry data for the flagship Meraki Dashboard product. This role involves working with C++, Python, Rust, SQL, and Kubernetes in a Linux environment to enhance reliability, performance, and scalability.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable distributed systems and data platforms
• Develop and maintain backend components using C++ in a Linux environment
• Focus on increasing reliability, performance, and scalability
• Work with distributed systems, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and SQL databases
• Experience with C++11 or newer standards
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization using Kubernetes
