Staff Software Engineer, AI-Core (Federal)

Okta is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the AI-Core team, focusing on building a scalable Agentic AI platform. This role involves designing and implementing backend services for agent identity, machine-to-machine authentication, knowledge base, observability, governance, and orchestration. You will tackle complex, novel challenges in AI infrastructure and contribute to a mission-critical platform.

• Design and implement backend APIs and services for an agentic AI platform
• Build agent identity and machine-to-machine authentication systems
• Develop the agent knowledge base and memory layer
• Create the observability layer for agents
• Implement the governance and safety layer for agents
• Build the orchestration layer for multi-step agent workflows
