About this role

Join Barclays' XGEN engineering team in Prague as a Full Stack Software Engineer. You will design, develop, and improve software solutions for traders in Investment Banking, focusing on applications for trade execution and position management. This role involves working with modern backend and frontend technologies to build and support critical distributed systems.

What we are looking for

Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers on software requirements and strategies
Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
Implement secure coding practices and effective unit testing
Experience with Angular, React, Vue, cloud platforms, containers, or Kubernetes is a plus
Work on distributed systems critical to the trading business
