Staff Software Engineer, Agent Harnessing

Scout AI is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build the core architecture for AI agents interacting with physical systems. You will design and advance the agent harness, integrate software with hardware, and build simulation environments. This role requires extensive full-stack engineering experience and a passion for defense technology.

• Design and advance agent harness architecture
• Integrate full-stack software with physical hardware and AI agents
• Build simulation environments for agent testing and training
• Own connectors between AI models and real-world systems
• Fine-tune frontier AI models and build data acquisition pipelines
• Work with warfighters to develop agentic systems
