About this role

Amentum is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Space Launch System (SLS) Flight Software Design Team, contributing to the Artemis mission. You will own mission-critical, human-rated flight software components for the SLS vehicle, supporting human spaceflight to the Moon.

What we are looking for

Design, develop, and test real-time embedded spaceflight or complex mission-critical system software
Adhere to organizational, project, and NASA coding standards and practices
Advanced expertise in C/C++ programming and Object-Oriented Design
Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, bash/shell) and development environments
Familiarity with real-time operating systems (VxWorks) and Agile development processes
Skilled in SW/HW integration, debugging, and troubleshooting
