About this role

Join Cisco's Optical Network Controller team to build next-generation SDN software for optical network automation. You will own the full development and testing lifecycle, writing backend microservices in Java and automated tests in Python. This role offers end-to-end feature ownership in a cloud-native environment.

What we are looking for

Design and implement scalable microservices in Java (Spring Boot, REST, gRPC)
Write comprehensive automated tests in Python (PyTest) for API, integration, and functional validation
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Collaborate in an Agile Scrum model to deliver production-ready software
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, databases, and messaging systems
