Senior Software Engineer

Q2 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Digital Banking Fraud team. You will build and evolve systems for fraud prevention at scale, protecting trillions in transactions. This role involves working on real-time, cloud-native services, modernizing existing systems, and exploring AI/agentic engineering to improve development and operations.

• Design, build, and operate reliable, low-latency fraud prevention services and APIs
• Modernize and standardize Python services, development tooling, and engineering practices
• Advance the team’s use of AI-assisted and agentic software engineering
• Design and operate cloud-native architectures in AWS
• Partner with data scientists, product teams, and other engineers
• Mentor other engineers and help establish maintainable patterns
