Software Engineer

Autodesk is seeking a Software Engineer to help build and maintain a new desktop platform based on Electron and Chromium for our web applications. In this role, you will develop core components, integrate with the operating system, and troubleshoot complex issues, gaining expertise in desktop platform engineering. You will collaborate with senior engineers to ensure the platform is secure, reliable, and reusable across Autodesk products.

• Develop and maintain features in an Electron main process and renderer integration
• Integrate Chromium runtime and configure Electron for desktop capabilities
• Implement Windows native integrations for application lifecycle and OS interaction
• Troubleshoot application crashes, runtime problems, and security concerns
• Write unit and integration tests for developed components
• Collaborate with senior engineers on secure coding practices and platform services
