Staff Backend Software Engineer

Fox Corporation is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to lead the development of scalable services for audio/video hosting, monetization, and analytics. You will work with Python, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and various data technologies to design and implement APIs, background job orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code, while also driving observability and testing strategies.

• Lead design and implementation of RESTful APIs and async workers
• Own reliability and performance of distributed systems
• Drive data and integration decisions across PostgreSQL, Redis, and object storage
• Lead Terraform and AWS changes
• Raise the bar on observability and testing strategy
• Represent backend concerns in planning and design reviews
