Engineering Manager, Trading Platform

Topstep is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for their Trading Platform, which handles order flow, execution, and market data for thousands of traders. This role focuses on people leadership, ensuring team reliability, quality, and delivery, while partnering with product and operations. Occasional hands-on technical work is welcome but not expected.

• Lead and develop a team of engineers, focusing on growth and a positive culture
• Drive reliability and operational excellence for real-time trading systems
• Manage team capacity, hiring, and set technical direction
• Collaborate with Product, senior engineers, and operations partners
• Ensure timely delivery of complex technical work and influence the roadmap
• Guide architecture and trade-off decisions for backend and distributed systems
