Staff Software Engineer, Banking

Brex is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead technical strategy and execution for its Banking product area. This role involves shaping the direction of complex financial systems, driving architecture, reliability, and product delivery across customer-facing surfaces and core infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to simplify systems, improve reliability, and mentor other engineers.

• Lead technical strategy for critical Banking initiatives
• Drive design and evolution of reliable, scalable money movement systems
• Partner cross-functionally with product, design, operations, and compliance
• Identify and resolve systemic reliability and quality issues
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders
• Contribute directly to implementation for high-stakes initiatives
