Staff Software Engineer, Enterprise Services

BlackSky is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain production-grade software systems for their real-time intelligence platform. This role involves developing scalable services, improving existing systems, and supporting CI/CD across cloud environments. You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality enterprise services.

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade enterprise software using Java, Go, and Python
• Build and enhance distributed, API-driven microservices and backend systems
• Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability across existing systems
• Support CI/CD workflows and cloud-based deployments in AWS environments
• Minimum of ten years of professional software development experience
• Strong understanding of API-driven architectures and distributed systems

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
