Software Engineer

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Software Engineer to build and support scalable, cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and event-driven architectures. You will develop microservices, real-time data streaming solutions, and modern web applications, working with technologies like Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and React/Angular. This hybrid role is based in Raleigh, NC, and involves collaborating across engineering, platform, and DevOps teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java, Spring Boot
• Build and enhance cloud-native distributed applications with a focus on scalability and resiliency
• Develop event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams
• Design and develop responsive user interfaces using Angular, React, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes-based environments using Docker
• Contribute to AI-enabled backend solutions and integrate machine learning workflows
