Senior Software Engineer, Content Platform

Roku is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Content Platform team. This role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing distributed data pipelines and backend solutions for large-scale data processing. You will leverage your expertise in Java, distributed systems, and big data technologies to innovate and improve content onboarding and insights for downstream systems like Search and Recommendations.

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Java and Akka
• Build distributed data pipelines for batch and real-time data processing
• Leverage big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink
• Develop and maintain real-time data processing applications
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable Java code
• 7+ years of experience in backend development and distributed data processing
