Fiber Route Patroller

Zayo is seeking a Fiber Route Patroller to join their Field Operations team. This role involves hands-on technical work, proactive fiber route patrol, and damage prevention. You will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, maintaining fiber network components, and inspecting infrastructure to identify and mitigate risks.

• Perform fiber testing including use of 10G–100G test sets, OTDR traces
• Install and support fiber network components
• Conduct regular patrols of long-haul fiber routes to identify potential risks
• Inspect fiber infrastructure including cabinets, handholes, and buried cable routes
• Support utility locating activities
• Deploy to construction sites to monitor third-party activity near fiber routes
