About this role

Carta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to lead technically complex projects and mentor teams. You will drive implementation, simplify systems, leverage modern tooling, and collaborate cross-functionally to build innovative software for the private markets.

What we are looking for

Lead execution of complex technical projects from concept to production
Identify opportunities to simplify code and infrastructure for measurable business impact
Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate workflow and improve code quality
Mentor and coach peers, raising the technical bar through PR reviews and architectural guidance
Collaborate with product and design to build user-centric solutions
Experience with Python, Django, React, Postgres, Kafka, Java, gRPC, and AWS
