About this role
Baystate Health is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician for their Adult Medical/Surgical Intermediate Care Unit. This role involves providing direct patient care, including hygiene, skin care, mobility, and monitoring, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities also include performing phlebotomy and EKGs, managing equipment, and assisting with procedures.
What we are looking for

- Perform technical tasks such as phlebotomy and EKGs
- Monitor patient vital signs and report deviations
- Assist with treatments, procedures, and patient elimination needs
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team
- Respond to emergency situations and maintain patient safety
