Strategic Project Engineering Manager

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Strategic Project Engineering Manager to lead automation projects in the pork industry. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate automation needs into innovative solutions, managing project design, implementation, and budget, and driving a positive employee experience through leadership and coaching. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, 5+ years of relevant experience, and 2+ years of leadership experience.

• Develop preliminary designs and specifications for engineering and materials
• Prepare project cost estimates and conduct feasibility studies
• Manage project execution by guiding vendors and contractors
• Coordinate and provide direction to equipment vendors for layout and utility requirements
• Conduct engineering planning, design, and operational reviews
• Manage assigned budget activities and contract administration
