Strategic Project Manager

Smithfield is seeking a Strategic Project Manager to drive automation projects within the pork industry. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate automation needs into innovative solutions, managing project design, implementation, and budget, and ensuring successful project execution. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, 5+ years of relevant experience, and 2+ years of leadership experience.

• Develop preliminary designs and specifications for engineering and materials
• Prepare project cost estimates and conduct feasibility studies
• Coordinate and direct equipment vendors for layout planning and installation
• Manage contract administration and review bid packages
• Lead and coach team members for positive employee experience
• Apply engineering principles to operational and design issues
