Lead Phlebotomist

Advocate Health is seeking a Lead Phlebotomist to provide day-to-day work direction and training to employees and students. This role involves coordinating department workflow, assisting with HR responsibilities, and performing specimen collection. The Lead Phlebotomist will also be responsible for quality assurance and patient safety protocols.

• Train and orient employees and students
• Provide day-to-day work direction and guidance
• Monitor and coordinate specimen collection, processing, and ordering
• Assist with human resource responsibilities
• Perform venipuncture and collect various specimens
• Ensure proper specimen labeling and resolve identification issues
